Been a Minute

Oh hey, hope you didn’t forget about me.

Thought I’d hop on here and share what’s been going on in my life and explain why I’ve been so MIA, and how that’s going to change in the coming months.

I started a Master’s program! I’m earning an MBA (emphasis in Marketing and Leadership) through Southern Utah University. I’m a T Bird!

Unfortunately, I thought that could be an excuse to not work on my website, create posts, or find gigs to speak at. Thought I could get away with “just focusing on school.”

Very Yellow of me to try to shirk some responsibility. But I realized something in a marketing class I attended: I’ve taken on the responsibility of school, work, church callings, and growing 2 small businesses all at different times. I have a tendency to get really excited about something and commit to it wholeheartedly, and then a couple weeks later let it take a back seat. However in that meeting I thought to myself, “No more! I have these responsibilities. I chose them. They’re still there whether I act on them or not and I am going to reprioritize to make time for them!

Being so Yellow, sometimes I feel like I have to sacrifice fun in order to get things done. Which is pretty ridiculous, because I have a gift for making everything fun! Even my two least favorite units this semester, accounting and finance, became the most exciting courses because I decided to find joy with them. And it worked! Those were some of my highest test scores when I fully expected to struggle the most.

My point with all of this is, I got relaxed. But now I’m reminding myself how much fun I have with the Color Code. I’m getting back on the wagon and creating content for people to see that this is my passion, and I want nothing more than to go out into the world to show how life can be so much better when you understand the Color Code.
